The Glamorous Life

So, I returned from the doctor’s office and pharmacist on Friday well-armed with antibiotics, antihistamenes, and cough syurp to add to my homeopathic arsenal for what the medical books like to call “acute sinusitis.” I avoid hand sanitizers, antibacterial soaps/detergents, and amoxycillin when I can, to do my little part against the uber-bacteria, but I know when the microorganisms have got the upper hand. Thanks for that prescription, doc! Improvement so far is incremental, but it’s better than what was going on before, which was getting worse. I am surviving the workday with flair.
Dr. G. is in Ann Arbor until Saturday, meaning I’ve been able to fill his spot in the bed with my plugin air-purifier that wafts ionized, filtered air right over my face as I sleep. Who knew an appliance could be such a useful bedfellow? Since he left last Tuesday I have only eaten things from cans, used a box of Kleenex, accomplished 1.007 useful tasks, and glutted out on the silly romantic comedies for which Dr. G has limited patience. Not every movie can be the Princess Bride, and yet the genre has its charms; namely Hugh Grant, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, and Mark Ruffalo. Mandy Moore I’m not so sure about.
And don’t even ask about my homeopathic arsenal because it’s yucky.
Here is a nice pic of my mom and her oldest grandson, from the camping trip.

Feel better soon.
Like you, I avoid antibacterial stuff when it’s not necessary… but there are certainly some times when I’m thanking God for antibiotics!!!
On one hand, I’m sorry for you that Dr. G is gone while you’re sick. But, OTOH, at least you don’t need to really cook, and you can watch all the movies he doesn’t like!
Your mom is cute! When I first saw that picture, before reading your comment, I thought, “Oh, that must be Erin’s sister!” Wow.
I really hope those antibiotics kick in soon!!
Your mom’s so pretty, I thought she was you at first!
