Hm. Yes. Well. I’m running through the list mentally: too cheesy, too prideful, too religious, too hard to sing, too obscure. “America the Beautiful” probably comes closest.
I do love this country, most of all for its high ideals which we can, in government offices and neighborhoods and business transactions, measure ourselves against. And those spacious skies really are something, aren’t they?
