Hey Barbie, Thanks for stopping by! For some reason I always forget that I come from Chicago stock-- you all seem so Californian to me. Though I do love the story of Grandpa piling everyone in the car and heading for the sunshine state on the strength of a classified ad.

Tara- I expect your current situation will only exacerbate things. I was thinking if I ever get pregnant, maybe I should invest in a walker. : )

Erin, given your and my tendencies to smash into things, it's a wonder we've never walked into each other. I guess it's a mercy that there are 2,000 miles between us.

You are too funny! "In any party of two or more, I’d vote myself most likely to smash into something." This made us laugh out loud, (a) because it's a great turn of a phrase, and (b) because it describes you so well! We also got a kick out of hanging the guy "sideways so he looked less sad."

You are so generous to share your talented writing with the less gifted. Keep it up! And don't forget some of the best people were born in Chicago! Any parents, aunts, uncles come to mind????
